Saturday, April 5th will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was the day Andy and Rebeca promised forever to each other—and what a day it was. Set at the lush and intimate Urban Grove in Tucson, Arizona, their wedding was nothing short of magical… rain and all.
That morning, I saw something I’ll never forget. Andy—who’s usually reserved and soft-spoken—had a smile stretched across his face that I’d never seen before. It was the kind of smile that comes from deep, soul-level joy. As he spoke about Rebeca, his eyes lit up, and it was clear: he wasn’t just getting married—he was stepping into the greatest chapter of his life.
The skies were heavy with clouds as the ceremony began, and the rain came softly at first… then steadily. But if you were watching Andy and Rebeca at that moment, you’d never have noticed. They stood there, completely absorbed in each other, exchanging vows with unwavering love. The world around them melted away. It was as if time paused just for them.
Then, just as they said “I do,” the rain cleared. The sky opened up in the most poetic way, like heaven itself was smiling down on their love story.
Rebeca, later in the evening, changed into a gown she had found at a vintage boutique that supports women—such a beautiful detail in itself. The dress was classic, elegant, and timeless. She looked like a goddess walking through the garden, radiant with grace and love. Andy, in true Southwestern spirit, wore his cowboy boots and hat. The combination of his quiet charm and the joy that lit him from within was heart-melting.
Their love, deeply rooted in faith, shone through every moment of the day. There’s no doubt in my mind that their marriage will be one filled with strength, laughter, and a whole lot of grace.
While I had the honor of photographing their ceremony, I stepped into guest mode for the reception—something I rarely get to do—and it was such a gift. I’m endlessly grateful for her and for the talented team that makes days like these possible.
